	You may have to add a partition identifier.  e.g. - my system boots
from "2/boot/vmliux-2.2.5-16smp" (fresh install)
	I have also added a boot_file call, but may be superfluous.
	I have also found that this system (a DS20) will not boot from a
symbolic link to the kernel... is this normal?
