Re: XFree86...

Hi,

I run RedHat Linux on my alpha , but I do have a Matrox Millenium I
installed , and I run X with
1280x1024 resolution at 24 bit colour (32 actually)
I do have 8 Mb of videoram though.
The higest resolution for a standard (2Mb) Matrox 1 in 24(32) bits mode
is 600x800.

In short: I think you need more memory.

Jaap

Does anyone have a 20" monitor, Matrox Milennium (original), working at
24bpp or better? I am having a heck of a time getting a config that has a
resolution that I like at anything over 8bpp... Everything below (and
including) 800 x 600 works at 24bpp, but anything higher (1024 x 786 is
what I want) will only run in 8bpp mode. FYI, I am using xf86config.

This is Slink on an AS200 BTW.

TIA,

Ron
