Hi, I am no apt wizard, heck, I am not even a debian developer, but had the
same problem yesterday, when I installed Debian 2.1 on an alpha.

This is my situation and solution: I listed two apt sources in dselect (one
for non-us packages, but there was a typo in the URL). When selecting install,
I got the same error.

I went back to the apt page, removed to bad url, and updated my packages file.
Hitted install, and it worked!

So, my suggestion: check if ALL your apt source URLs are ok.

Frank
