Hi, the boot disks to use are the avanti set (information taken from 
ftp://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Linux-Alpha/Kernels/Test-Milos-2.0.30+/MILO-systypes, 
hopefully it should appear in the Debian docs at some point)

Well it may be a good idea if you have problems, in general I would
say it is not required.
