debian multi-cds on alpha ? - some comments

I don´t know if i am right here, i am no specialist on alpha:

I made a 5 CD set as multicds for debian slink alpha withs steves package
for my alpha 21164 (sx) under alphabios:

It works fine, but

   a) the base system has no multicd access package (dpkg-multicd)
      it is somewhere under
          main/binary-alpha/base/dpkg-multicd_0.11.deb 

      could it be added to the base system base2_1.tgz, and disks ?


	b) there is always a depency of libc6-dev but libc6 is not
      available ? am I missing something 
      (i didnt find it on the debian-ftp either)

   c) ... if someone is interested i can do some more report on this


Question: If I but the linload etc from the rescue disk somewhere on
          the first CD, could I boot from CD setting a alphabios entry
          to it, since my ide-cdrom is recognized by alphabios... ?

PS.: multicd is much faster package selector than cd-rom (when (I)nstall)
