Re: gdb - unknown file format
Known problem I believe (saw it on the redhat list a couple of weeks ago). The
core file format produced by 2.1+ kernels is slightly different to that
produced by 2.0 kernels, and the current version of gdb only groks the 2.0
variant. Someone was working on trying to have it grok both; I don't know how
they are going with that. IIRC it should be fairly trivial to make a gdb which
understands either one or the other but not both. I'll see if I can hack one at
some point.
