There are plenty of packages for the Alpha, however, there is no stable release for it yet, so you need to tell dselect to look in the unstable distribution to find the alpha packages. I'm going to make the wild guess that you are using the ftp method in dselect (if not, you need to modify these instructions to fit the method you use).

In dselect, pick the access choice and select the ftp method. Run it through and enter ftp site etc (if you've done this already, hitting enter should be enough). When you get to the questions about what distributions to use, enter:

dists/unstable/main dists/unstable/contrib dists/unstable/non-free

and you should be able to fetch the Packages file and the .debs you want.
