Using NFS with UDB

I'm finding that my UDB won't mount an NFS partition.  It is quite
strange because the server reports in the daemon.log file that the UDB
*has* mounted an NFS partition.  Still, the UDB reports an RPC
timeout:

  mount: RPC: Timed out

The log file on the server states:

  Nov 17 21:14:10 florence mountd[6583]: NFS mount of /m/md0/pub/mirror/Debian attempted from 192.168.2.12 
  Nov 17 21:14:10 florence mountd[6583]: /m/md0/pub/mirror/Debian has been mounted by 192.168.2.12 

Is this a known problem?
