Again, I'm not sure of what I outlined, but that's what I remember
gathering from the conversation.  It seemed that everyone was unable to
push more than 38400 out of LCA (Low Cost Alpha) serial ports.  Newer
boards (LX, UX, etc) didn't have the problem that I can recall.
