What is important for Debian/alpha is that you will remember what actually went wrong,
so we can fix this the next time.
Did you install a new BIOS ?

Ah, yes I had that too, but only after rebooting. One thing you can do about it, except
probably a new MILO, is applying the correct boot options in the BIOS, then milo should
not prompt.
I don´t know when and why it disappeared on my box, though :(

It should, if you took the right one.
Just make sure you have a Debian/Alpha system, at the very end:).
