Q: why aren't recent kernels not bootable ? (debian-axp)
I am able to compile a new kernel (2.1.11x and 2.0.35)
just fine on my debian axp lx164 machine:
make dep boot modules modules_install
i then copy the kernel:
cp arch/alpha/boot/vmlinux.gz to /boot/vmlinux-2.x.x
and when i point milo (1.5) to the new kernel, milo loads
but sort of never jumps to the new kernel-unpack code.
Is there a guru out there that can point me in the
right direction ?
Thanks!
Danny
