I was talking about the Alpha port.  On alpha:

$ dpkg -S /usr/bin/ldd
libc6.1: /usr/bin/ldd
$

With libc5 ld.so was a separate utility.  With libc6 it is integrated
with the library at the source level, together with ldd.
