mknod itself works ok.
Is this normal? Should I open a bug report or this is supposed to
happen? ;)
The box is an AlphaServer 1000A (noritake-primo, EV56 cpu), and
kernel 2.0.30 + alpha-patches-2.0.30-0.3 from gatekeeper.dec.com.
