Re: installing debian with vmware work station speech stops part way threw the installation
Hi Nick,
I usually install to the default choice, which is in the "my documents"
folder of the user.
In my documents folder, VmWare created a folder called virtual machines
Later, you can copy those to another drive and browse to that in VmWare and
open it.
This is how you can back up your installs, by zipping up a VM and if it gets
corrupt or infected, you can delete the one in VmWare, and unzip the
backuped copy, and open that up in VmWare.
HTH.

Hi, No the other drive is not even known about as that is where the
virtual machine's data is stored so should it not just see it as a
normal folder like it normally would? Would doing the initial
installation on the main windows drive then moving the virtual machine
to the other drive be the best option or should I not do this? What
method do you normally use to do virtual machines under windows? Nick
