Voxin On Ubuntu Server
Hi,
I'd post this to the Ubuntu Accessibility list, but for some reason, my
messages come back like I'm not subscribed, even though I am.
So, I have Ubuntu Server in a VM, and espeakup working.
I'm trying to get Voxin working.
I installed Voxin 3.3RC.
I ran spd-conf and if I run it with sudo and set up system, I can get
spd-say to work using voxin, and alsa for the sound.
So if I run spd-conf without sudo and set up user, Voxin does not work.
If I run spd-say with sudo, a test message works with voxin.
If I run spd-say without sudo, I only get silence.
Should I run spd-conf with sudo whether I'm setting a user configuration or
not?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Glenn
