re: xclip problem
In order to find my DISPLAY I started up x, then ran mate-terminal and
typed echo $DISPLAY >dn.txt. Then I powered down and started up in
console mode and found :0.0 in dn.txt. If I didn't do this right, I'll
know shortly.
