Well, the above fix looks trivial enough, and the severity (just doesn't
work at all, needs to change the desktop being used to be working at
all) could be considered serious. So perhas still reportbug
release.debian.org about this to see whether they are happy with it.
That being said, I was more thinking about the Buster development cycle
