about how to shut up Speakup? My English is not very good, but this
(shut ut speakup) can be done by pressing the CTRL key when Speakup
start talking. Possibly you have to press ctrl key sometimes, until
the voice does not talk.
the control key will tell Speakup to stop speaking what it is
currently speaking, but if more is being written to the screen,
Speakup will start speaking it.
If you press the enter key on the numpad, Speakup wil stop talking
immediately and will not say anything until another key is pressed.
You can also press numpad-insert with numpad-enter and this will put
Speakup into a mode where nothing will be spoken automatically until
you press this combination again. You can still review the screen
when it is in this mode.
