Re: Bug#631725: gnome-system-monitor: Unusable with gnome-orca

Hi. I think we can consider it a work around for now.
This might be a good time to include Debian's gnome maintainers in the discussion.
>From my reading of the orca list, there are choices to be made about gnome 3.0.
Some options will provide better accessibility than others.
Using the corba based at-spi will probably give the best access to gnome 3.0,
but I'm not sure. If Debian takes that approach, then orca can only be upgraded to 3.0.2.
Does Debian plan to keep corba around for gnome 3.0?

The dbus based at-spi seems to cause the greatest loss in accessibility, but it's getting all the work. It's
unlikely gnome 3.2 will work with the corba based solution.
Does Debian plan to release Wheezy with gnome 3.0 or 3.2?
The other issue is gnome-shell. The best access for now to
gnome 3.0 will be to avoid gnome-shell.
This mail isn't as organized as I would like, but it should be a start for a larger discussion about Wheezy accessibility.
