Aranym networking on a modern Linux host

Hi!

Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to set up Aranym networking
on a modern Linux host? With modern, I mean a host computer that doesn't use
/etc/network/interfaces or similar.

So far, I haven't been able to find a simple way to get Aranym networking
working without breaking my laptop's network configuration. With qemu-system,
I can easily use usermode networking without having to mess around with
the configuration of the host. There must be something similar for Aranym,
isn't there?
