Do I count as an oldtimer? Not sure if I should take that as an
encouragement. January is not the best month for cross-germany car trips, I
think, I am not a fan of drving in the snow. If you would organize the
meeting in the summer, at the beach, that would be another thing (but we had
that already).
One week before your meeting is MeKA, which would mean 15 hours on the road.
Bonn is a little bit closer, but still 12 hours back and forth. And
unfortunately I can not go on vacation for the week to stay in the deep
south. Taking the train is not an option if we are supposed to bring
hardware. I'll decide a little bit closer to the date, if I will come. And
I guess the old timers are distributed far enough, that it would be
difficult to car pool?
