Yes. While the kernel driver for the PCI bridge is still missing,
that is a setup already found out in the wild. And the kernel
driver may also be only a matter of time.

Also, isn’t it better to do a one-liner to make it compile, using
a method OBVIOUSLY supported by upstream (as it picks up the code
from libatomic-ops-dev if installed just fine) than an intrusive
patch disabling functionality that can hurt us later on because
other packages B-D or Depend on such functionality unconditionally?
