Ah yes, the existence of localversion.m68k causes it to append `-m68k'.

The presence of `ARCH ?= m68k' just makes it easier for us lazy
cross-compiling people, so we default to compiling for m68k by default...

Hmmm... Try to lower the optimization level for that file.
