One nice thing about the 840s is that they take 72-pin SIMMs. While they
are picky about compatibility, it's easier to find them than the old 30-pin
modules for the older models.

On this note of buildd capability, does anyone know for sure what the
main bottleneck is on the compiler for m68k? If it's disk-bound, the
840AV (and 660AV) have the possibility of a big boost in this area in
the future. We currently aren't using the DMA hardware for anything
but ethernet on these models, but we could get SCSI using DMA on them
with some extra development effort. It's currently a bit down my todo
list, but I could move it up to third or maybe second if people think
it will make a difference.
