Sure, you can install woody and dist-upgrade to sarge later, but the problem
with the keymap still exists on kernel 2.6 series. 
I faced that problem on Arrakis when I installed kernel 2.6.12-1-amiga
(A3000, Cyberstorm MKII, onboard SCSI). Christian gave a hint to disable
loadkeys in init.d scripts, but that didn't help with the keyboard problem,
sadly.
So, currently Amiga + kernel 2.6 seems to be only accessible remotely.
