Kernel compile problems om vme167
Hello folks,
I'm not new on Linux (working with it for about 10 years) but new to Debian.
I got a nice vme167 computer and it works fine... but I want to compile my
own kernel. That's were the problem begins.
I get the latest 2.2.20 kernel from debian with the tool dselect, it installs
the kernel source in the /usr/src directory as expected.
I configure the kernel for my board (vme167).
When I start compiling the kernel the first complaint is:
(It's not an exact copy, but it says what's essential)
in include/asm68k/delay.h
loops_per_sec (undeclared first use in this function)
The next one is in the SCSI driver 53c7xx
it complains about some identifiers such as KERNELMAP_NOCACHE_SER,
KERNELMAP_FULL_CACHING and so on.
I cannot get the thing compiled... (It's using gcc-2.95.4)
But the binary kernel does work.... what did the people at Debian do I forgot?
Greetings,
Nick Brok
