youre in the wrong directory. cd linux-2.4.6 (or whatever your source tree
is called, btw why do you use the OLD source when 2.4.6 is out?)
patch -p1 < patch*

BTW how about putting these patches on an ftp server? Erlangen has no 2.4.
directory, sunsite has only 2.4.5 from Jes?
