Debian on the 650 Quadra

New on the list, mailing you from Oslo, Norway.
I've got my hands on a Quadra 650 Mac, and after been running Linux on
Intel and IBM PowerPC workstations, I thought time had come to the m68k
port.
I got the mac on the net, and after some time I finally got i booting with
Penguin 17, the vmlinux-2.1.31-19990201dhd.gz kernel image and the latest
(march 2000) slink ramdisk image.
So, it boots up, allright, but when the Installer starts, something weird
happens: I can't select anything with the keyboard. I've previously used
Debian on other platforms, and thought it would work the very same way
here: Choose with the up and down keys, select with the Return key. It
just don't work. It reacts on no keys at all, except the other terminals,
see below.
Even more weird: The other terminals, availble with Command-F1 - F3
actually _do_ work, I run commands on the terminal at the console, and
whatch the init process log and the kernel log.
On the console terminal, pressing the arrow keys gives this, if any help:
Up : ^[[A
Down : ^[[B
Right: ^[[C
Left : ^[[D
Are there anybody out there with some tips? Sending with the output of
dmesg and the init log if of any help
