er two pines get confusing try this first off man mount, just scroll through the general information and see if you can find out how to mount it. if you dont have the man pages you can get it at http://linux.wiw.org/doc/man/man.cgi?man=mount&sec=0 a mount point is just an empty directory and device is the special file in /dev/ this is usually /dev/cdrom I seriously suggest to get linux for dummies as a general introduction to how to move around etc. Justin
