Sounds like the plain old instability of the 5380 SCSI driver. Various
remedies in the shape of mac5380=<can_queue>,<cmd_per_lun>. A value of
1 or 2 for can_queue disables command disconnects. Default host queue depth
is 16 which may be a bit too much given the command timeout problems with
full queue.

It is dog slow, and could use some work (volunteers always welcome).
