Thanks a lot - I'll give 2.2.6 a try.  I'm running the 2.2.3pre1 kernel
right now.

I just downloaded linux-2.2.6.tar.gz from the ftp.uni-erlangen.de site. 
Which of the diffs linux-2.2.6.diff.gz and linux-2.2.6-native.diff.gz do
I need to apply, if any?  I read through the faq but couldn't find
anything describing what these diffs are for.
