That would require rebuilding the kernel, right?  Problem is, without
that ethercard working there is no way we can install the tools to do
that :-(
  We installed a base system from the hard disk, but we don't have the
space (163MB) to put on packages.  We were planning on installing from
an NFS mounted directory.  We just wanted to play around a bit with it
to see if we can get a mail server or something running.  Maybe we can
borrow a SCSI disk from someone ...
