A comment to configuring the base system. My Amiga is set to GMT, with
purpose. There is a very good tool on the ADE CDs (from Geert I think) which
patches the system clock, so that your clock can run at GMT, the time (and
timezone!) is correct under AmigaOS and the time is correct under Linux.
Never change from/to summertime again by hand. Ill have look in my
user-startup and send you the paramters if you like.

And another comment on dselect<->dpkg. Youre right, dselect is darn slow,
but if you use the apt method, its lightning fast and very convenient. You
can switch between the package source by simply editing a text file and you
have an overview about whats installed and what you need to install another
package. But apt is not in hamm, isnt it? :-(
