Dear team,
just to get everyone on the same page: the contract with the HD
venue should get signed in May. It will not, however, get signed on
3 May. The reason for that is that on 3 May, we will not yet have
a legal entity, as the association we're creating needs to be
registered first. This can take three days or 4 weeks, we don't
know.
HD knows this and we will not lose the option to the contract if we
don't have a signature dry by 1 June, but this does not mean we can
or should delay the foundation of the association, despite all the
ruckus going around on dc-team.
What it does mean, also, is that we should not delay informing
dc-team about the contract terms. Hopefully we won't have more
ruckus, but I doubt it. I've attached the current state of the
negotiations and HD is currently working on a draft of a contract
based on these. (debconf-team/dc15/venue/)
Please have a close look and pose any questions or name concerns you
might have. Are there things missing? Do you see problems?
Thanks,
--
