It's not just about the weight; there is also the fact that the Canon is
much smaller, too. If six canons fit in a single box, but six sony's do
not, you have one less box to ship.

(of course, if that's not possible, then that makes near as no
difference -- but that's one of the reasons why we should have them
tested)

Ah, yes, point. Didn't think of that.

It's something we could ask the C3 people though, I'm sure. At any rate,
the JVC camera also supports SDI itself, so if we can't get the RTMP to
work, it's not a big loss.

It's just something I saw on the c3voc website, and looked interesting.
I do agree that it's not critical though.

That sounds like a good plan. I'd be happy to drive to Paris for a
weekend to help with that.

Alternatively, the pro camera shop that my friend pointed out is "Kamera
Express": https://www.kamera-express.be. They're in Antwerp, I can go
there, pick up the cameras, drive to Paris with them. Slight detour, but
doable. They're large enough that are pretty sure to they have all three
models (and more too), and should also have most of them on stock much
of the time.
