Re: [Debconf-video] ¿Which software is you using for stream the talks?

Hi Edgar!

First of all, I'm happy Wouter already answered to you with the
real answer to your question ;-)

That's right - We don't like using non-free software or non-controlled
infrastructures. Specially if it's so easy to do it by ourselves! (not
implying that the videoteam's work is trivial, of course)

I live in Mexico as well (Mexico City), and am willing to show this to
you whenever you say so. For the EDUSOL (Encuentro en Línea de
Educación y Software Libre) we use a workflow basically "forked" from
the DebConf6 way - Back in a time where the videoteam was just forming
and worked in a far less sophisticated way. For our work, we used only
one video source (so no dvswitch) and don't save the original video
files (only the OGG encoded ones). That makes the work incredibly more
friendly for small computers - We often used an aging 1GHz, 1GB RAM
laptop for basically all of the work.

I am no longer involved in the EDUSOL organization, but Victor Manuel
Martínez (who I think also reads this list) is heading it now.

I did a IRC-based mini-tutorial for it in 2008 - you can read it at:
