why do you want to open registration so early if you end so late?
Sorry, my bad. The sponsorship/registration deadline should also end early. Your proposal of May 1st. sounds reasonable to me.
I understand you are curious how many people will register, so you want to
open soon, but I think the deadline should be earlier, as only then we can
start planning things realistically.
