[Debconf-team] Global Team Meeting Summary, 10 May 2011
The global team held a meeting on #debconf-team on May 10th, starting at
19:00 UTC. I agreed to write the summary.
Local team update: Holger and Moray are planning a visit to Banja Luka
toward the end of May, in order to meet the local team, and to become
acquainted with the layout of the venue. They will be reimbursed for their
travel expenses; concrete figures will be available shortly.
T-shirts: They will be printed in Bosnia; the Mexican supplier is to be
informed of this. Some proposed t-shirt designs are available at

Sponsorship team status - getting money: Holger will approach several more
sponsors while at Linuxtag in Berlin. Adnan reports that he has several
more large sponsors lined up to approach, and is to supply concrete
information on those upon his return to Bosnia.
Advertisements in magazines: Clint will contact Linux Journal about
deadlines for placing an advertisement. (This has been taken care of in the
time it has taken to write this summary. The information has been posted to
the mailing list by Moray.) There was also discussion of a thank-you ad, to
run after DebConf11.
Registration: The deadline for registration was extended to Thursday, 19th
May. According to http://rkd.zgib.net/http/debconf/registration-data.txt
there are currently 348 people registered to attend.
Budget: Please see http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/debconf-data/dc11/budget.ods
for budget and http://rkd.zgib.net/http/debconf/accounting-balances.txt for
current account balances.
Travel sponsorship: There will shortly be a call for volunteers to join the
team dealing with travel bursaries. The process will be similar to that
used at DebConfs 7 and 8.
Talks team: Gunnar has been declared the leader of the talks team, with the
option of asking Biella or others to co-lead. Submissions are presently
being reviewed, and there is a talks team meeting proposed for later this
week.
The next meeting will take place in a fortnight's time: Tuesday, 24th May,
at 19:00 UTC.
Best regards
-nattie, on behalf of The DebConf Team
