It will be held in Cáceres, > Extremadura, Spain, from July 16 to 30, 2009. I am a Debian Developer from India who would like to know how I can go about organising a trip to Debconf9. I have never attended a Debconf before. I am employed at a research institute for Mathematical Sciences so corporate sponsorship is not immediately available. Hence the following questions: 0. Am I too late in asking these questions? 1. Do I need to apply directly to a sponsor in order to come for this event? 2. Do I need to arrange for accomodation on my own or is there some common place arranged where I can make a booking? 3. I will need to obtain a visa for this travel.
