Hello,

We've put together some information on the wiki page [1] and I have been
talking with some people in IRC, which leads me to this brief note.

First of all, if you've read the thread, let me thank you for your
interest on this bid. The local team knows that we're past deadline, and
that decisions have to be taken by DC team, which is OK with us.

Think of our bid as a Debian release: it's here when it's ready, but
it's great when it's here :)

If I had to tag Quito's bid, it'd be: cheap, fun, technically rewarding
and quite unusual! The dollar is currency here, is one of the most
tourist friendly countries I've lived or worked in and there's a strong
community and tangible gov't and private interest in FLOSS. Even if
there's been timid interest in Debian here (hey, that's why D-Day is
here for!), there are lots of organized FLOSS users and developers which
are interested on making this happen.

See you later in our meetings, and have a nice day,
Jose
