May I recommend to ask Yuri Vasilevski to write a part of it? AFAIK he's a Gentoo developer living in Mexico, who attended last years DebConf, since there are no Gentoo related events in Mexico. He attended this years DebConf too... obviously he likes DebConf a lot ;) If you like some words of an ex-Orga now only normal attendee, I could find some words for you, too.
