I agree with that. I think that a year and half or even a year in advance
is quite adequate to make solid decisions. What seems more crucial is rather
developing a more uniform approach and "know how" if you like that will
make people who intend to bid for future Debconfs to do it in an easier
and and ordered manner.

 The Greek Debian team/community is definitely set up to biding for
Debconf9. So it is also important to us how the debconf-team is going to
treat the whole issue of deciding about future Debconfs.
