Quoting today's "daily announcement" mail, Santiago said:
If you are expecting to have a jitsi call or any other kind of remote attendance in your talk, be sure to coordinate this with the video team in their physical room or on #debconf-video on IRC.
As you can appreciate in the schedule, BoF room B03-035 is not covered by our Video Team efforts. We know, however, that many BoFs will present, discuss or shape the work of different teams, some of which will not be completely present in Brest. We are providing a special meeting camera, a "Meeting Owl", with which you can quickly arrange for a good online session: Just plug it in your computer, and it will appear as a uvcvideo device (/dev/video*). It has quite good microphone range for picking up environment sound, directional cameras, and even a set of loudspeakers. This will allow your teammates, or any person intereted in joining a BoF session, to join a Jitsi call. The only thing is that the video call has to be _arranged_ by you: Connect to a Jitsi server (i.e. https://jitsi.debian.social/ — but do keep in mind it requires all participants to log in to Salsa!), and enable remote participation!
