Thanks for answering my concerns.  I agree that my questions were
indeed somewhat far-fetched; I think that they reflect some of my
frustration regarding the impending lack-of-support for so many
devices.

If I feel I can contribute positively to the workshop, then I will be
glad to join.  Aside from helping people on the day, my objective is
to learn about the practicalities of installfests, to potentially
offer support at similar events in future.

>From what I follow in the latest updates, the workshop may occur
off-site from the conference venue, in Brest, and possibly on Friday
18th - I'll try to read more of the details soon and to think about
how I could usefully participate.
