IRC meetings? (Was: bid deadline)

What would be useful to help us get a complete bid by then?

I'm thinking we should schedule vaguely regular IRC meetings, to keep
our attention on this. Fortnightly maybe? Weekly seems too often, and
monthly gives us 2-3 meetings at the most before the bid is due.

Will IRC work for people? Not everyone listed as team members on the
wiki hangs out on IRC, but most do.
Can we twist the arms of the hold-outs to idle in a fairly quiet
channel? Or to visit it every now and then for a meeting?

Schedule? South African evening/night/morning is the best for me, on the
US west coast.

Weekends/Week?

Monday evening to seed conversation at Tuesday CLUG dinners?
