[Debconf-announce] DebConf15: Last call for keys for keysigning in Heidelberg, Germany

DebConf15: Call for keys for keysigning in Heidelberg, Germany

We are a few days away from the deadline!

As part of the 16th Debian Conference in Heidelberg, Germany there will
be OpenPGP (pgp/gpg) keysignings.

If you intend to participate in the DebConf15 keysignings, please send
your ascii armored public key as explained at [0] no later than 23:59
UTC/GMT/Zulu on Sunday 9th of August, 2015.

Alternatively, thanks to Alexander Wirt (formorer) and Peter Palfrader
(weasel), there is http://ksp-debconf.snow-crash.org/ and you can also
send your keys with the command below.

  gpg --keyserver hkp://ksp-debconf.snow-crash.org --send "keyid"

At this point in time, there are 131 keys in the DebConf15 keyring:

      2 ed25519
     11 rsa2048
      1 rsa3104
    115 rsa4096
      2 rsa8192

There were a couple of submitted 1024D keys which were not included in
the keyring.

If your key is not 1024D and is not listed at [1] or you would like to
add/remove a key send me an email ASAP.

Note that the ed25519 keys are generated with the Debian package gnupg2
currently in experimental.

Please check your key and fix any problem with your key. Please read the
document "OpenPGP Best Practices" by Daniel Kahn Gillmor (dkg) which is
available at [2]. Its OpenPGP key checks have been implemented by Clint
Adams (clint) in the Debian package hopenpgp-tools and dkg's recommended
settings has been put together in a gpg.conf file by Jacob Appelbaum
(error). Please check your key with clint's hokey lint command and use
error's gpg.conf file as explained in dkg's document.

More (and up-to-date) information is available at [0], so keep watching
it.

If you prefer not to print the list (after it has been released), you
could convert it (after checking the hash) into a html file with a form
that you could download to your laptop/tablet/phone. Joey Hess did just
that in Portland. Please have a look at his program [3] and instructions
[4].

Please share in the list your improvements to Joey's program. ;)

If you have questions please send them to the mailing list at
debconf-discuss@lists.debconf.org. If you don't want to post to the
mailing list, send your questions to anibal@debian.org and
dkg@debian.org.

See you in Heidelberg!
