I'm the author of the patch.  I'll be happy if someone include it
upstreamly or in the Debian distribtuion, but please read my original
letter, where I mentioned the patch, since it is just a quick hack.
Growisofs needs a _good_ error handling mechanism and this mechanism
should decide that the error code is one of the retryable ones.  We
shouldn't put little while cycles like this everywhere we need.  And
this patch exactly do the latter for one scanario.  It is just a hack.

Nero for linux can also fix it.  I think it will be quite easy to
cut&paste a utility from known GPL'd free softwares to the same task.
But we should simply fix the growisofs.

I'm sorry to see, that no new growisofs release since a lot of time,
no anonymous public CVS or any way to start contribute to this project
(it needs contribution: messy, not abstract code).
