growisofs hang w. DVD+-R
Hi,
I need HELP!
I have a problem burning DVD+/-R with k3b.
Everything seems fine until it reaches round about 965MB. Then everything
hangs: k3b & growisofs. I have to use CTRL+ALT+ESC to kill k3b. Same with
growisofs.
And the burner seems to hang, since it takes two to three times to eject the
media.
This behaviour is regardless of the DVD-Media type +/-R(W).
I was able to burn CD's without any problem.
I was able to create an ISO-Image of round about 3.2GB with K3B. But also
burning failed as above.
I also tried with speed=1 (k3b speed setting). Here I got a different Error

I have installed Windows XP Sp1a on this machine (just to test this) and it
works fine with B's Gold 5.
I used the same burner on a PIII System with Suse Linux 8.2 and k3b.
DVD-burning (plus or minus worked fine).
I use:
Suse Linux Professional 9.1 with Kernel 2.6.5
Pentium 4 3GHz Hyperthreading w. 1.5GB RAM
K3B 0.11.7
KDE 3.2.1
QT 3.3.1
growisofs 5.17
Burner HW: LG GSA 4040B
Any Ideas? Any help would be appreciated very much.
