What you are trying to do is to _clone_ a Video DVD, right?

Why don't you simply rip (dd) the DVD image into an image file
and write that to your DVD-R(W) instead of writing a file-tree
and generating a new image?

You can of course test the DVD-images:
	kaffeine -d <dvd-image> dvd://
or
	mplayer -dvd-device <dvd-image> dvd://

Then you will see if your image is wrong or your DVD-R(W) is badly _written_.
