I am using MSI DR8-A2 to burn DVD's My Problem is that with growisofs i cant set the write speed. I must set it to ignore that i can write an DVD but than he writes a DVD-R only wit 1x speed, a DVD+R/RW with 2x speed.
Keep in mind that growisofs is designed to be common denominator to all units. This means that some units might fail to perform as expected. Well, "perform" rather refers to things like setting speed or failure to apply some particular recording mode, not recording in general. In other workds see http://fy.chalmers.se/~appro/linux/DVD+RW/hcn.html. No MSI is not listed, but you'll what kind of incompatibilities are out there.
Used Software: growisofs --version * growisofs by <appro@fy.chalmers.se>, version 5.19, front-ending to mkisofs: mkisofs 2.0 (i686-suse-linux)
Do upgrade to 5.19-1! I don't know if your vendor has precompiled package, ask them or download toolchain yourself.

Wow! I have never seen 0->N. Could you post 'dvd+rw-mediainfo /dev/dvd verbose' output?

Just don't use -speed option for now and let unit pick recording velocity. A.
